Want to be able to de-select certain items in a group of items you have selected.

Example- autoCAD select items, hold shift, add items to selection. shift to add, control to deselect

AutoCAD also allows drawing a box from one direction and it does specific things, but if you start drawing the box from another direction, it does a different function
