Switching between a detailed/graphics view (like we have now) and showing an "outline", or other renderings. I'm not actually sure how people would like to see this work yet.. so I'm still thinking this through and will post images here of some ideas

Ability to add multiple components to a group so that they are always moved around together and are locked together until they are ungrouped.

The ability to select more than one component at a time. So they can be dragged around together or deleted together, or have other actions that can be taken on multiple things at once

Add a menu option to import from other file formats from legacy layout planning tools

As a mouse and keyboard user, I want to double click the name of a layer to bring up the ability to edit the name, because that is intuitive to me.

As a user, I want the text box to automatically have focus when I select to edit the name of a Layer, so that I can immediately start typing instead of needing an additional click/tap.

When you click a component/part, sometimes the code thinks you are starting to drag it instead of select it. Threshold for dragging should scale with zoom level, also it should take more mouse movement to start a drag when the part/component is connected to another one than if it is unattached.

As a user I want to be able to search for text/labels in a large layout, so that I can quickly find what I am looking for without scrolling all over the place. Ctrl+F should bring up a search. When in read-only mode, an icon should exist on the screen for searching as well. Maybe this should also be shown in exit mode.. just need to figure out the screen real estate.

Rooms and walls so a user can put in the dimensions of the space they have before placing tables and other components. Collision should be toggle-able so a user can decide if they want to be prevented from placing things that would not fit in within the confines.

Add comments anywhere in a layout. Can be attached to a part/component or not. In the future this would be used as part of cloud collaboration, but for now just save them with the layout
